My big boy is 2!!!

Kennon's birthday party was Sunday... I can't believe he has been with us that long, but I can't imagine my life without him. I never knew I could love anything so much. He has brightened my life in so many ways and has blessed our little family. He is becoming such a big boy, and although it is exciting, a part of me wants him to stay this age forever... and never stop giving me the great hugs and kisses that he does now. He has given up the pacifier, moved on to 1% milk and will be using big boy toothpaste soon! He will definitely be ready to be a big brother in April. He says he wants a "baby sistah", but we have 5 weeks until we will find out! I feel a girl vibe, but we will have to wait and see! Here are some pictures of his Thomas the Train party... the last picture was taken in the car about 2 minutes after leaving his party... he was exhausted, but wouldn't let go of that Thomas balloon!

Kennon's first hair cut and first day at preschool!

We figured Kennon should get a haircut before preschool, so here are a few pictures. He did great! No crying and he thought the clippers were pretty funny:-) Also, here are some pictures of Kennon on his first day of preschool... before the crying and screaming began. The first two weeks of preschool were some of the worst days either Kennon or I have ever had!!! He was terrified of being left with strangers and would cling to my legs and scream and kick when I had to leave. We both shed a lot of tears at first, but now, he seems to really enjoy himself and has made many friends!

Choo Choo!

Over the summer, we also took Kennon and Ellison (Noah was sick) on a train ride. We took the Amtrak from Orlando to Kissimmee. It was a short trip, but the kids loved it!

Horses eat carrots???

We took Kennon to the Mill Creek Retirement Horse Farm in Alachua. This was one of his first up close and personal visits with horses and he took to it right away. We brought a huge bag of carrots and the horses ate them up pretty quickly! It is a beautiful farm with plenty of room for kids to run around and get their energy out. Can't wait to go back as soon as it gets cooler!!!

Go Gators!!! Kennon's first trip to Gatorland...

While Trevor and Katey were vacationing in Costa Rica, we decided to take all the kids to Gatorland in Kissimmee. The kids got to see alligator wrestling, hold birds, feed the goats and llamas, ride a train around the park and play at the huge splash park. Great deal for Florida residents and the kids really enjoyed it.

Cousins, sand and a really big slide!!!

We went to Hammock Dunes Resort this summer. We are making it a family tradition and the kids are loving it! We had 4 kids (including 2 month old Lyla) and 6 adults in one suite, but it was perfect. We spent lots of time at the pool, going down the big slide, and hanging out on the beach. Perfect vacation and can't wait to go back!
