Little Gator...

Here is Kennon at Cafe Gardens before the Vanderbuilt game. Loving his Mimi and Papa... and giving his mealtime hugs (his favorite!)...

Cute in overalls...

I don't know if there is any kid that looks cuter in overalls than mine!

A festival, a zoo, a bumble bee and a little ninja...

So we had a pretty nice weekend. I had Friday off for a teacher workday (I worked Tuesday night instead), so Clay, Kennon and I met Katey and Ellison for lunch and then took Kennon to the art museum. Although Kennon liked to look at the art, he was a bit too loud (screaming to hear the echo!), so we had to move on to the history museum. He enjoyed himself as usual and it was nice for us all to spend the day together. On Saturday, Kennon and I went to the Harvest Festival. Trev, Katey and Ellison met us there and we all enjoyed the excitement that fall festivals seem to induce... preparing us for the excitement of the holidays! For the evening (Halloween), we went to Boo at the Zoo. Kennon and Ellison trick-or-treated through the zoo, looked at animals (Kennon loved the ocelot) and showed off how cute they were! Neither one seemed to be bothered by the spooky decor, but a man in a monkey suit upset Ellison quite a bit... I guess she didn't like his style... Anyway, it was a good day. It would have been nice if Clay could have joined us, but I did make sure to take my little ninja to Daddy's work to see him before bedtime. Other than a new tooth that is causing Kennon (and Clay and I at times) some crankiness, all is well with us! Here are some pictures of our weekend...

My baby is 1!!!

Kennon turned one on Saturday! I can't believe it... he is getting so big! We had his birthday party in Orlando. We had a chance to eat cupcakes, open presents and play in the pool. Kennon had a great time with his cousins and was very excited about his new big boy toys. We also reached a couple of milestones this weekend... no milk before bed (from me or otherwise-took a little convincing), NO SWADDLE!!! to sleep, car seat turned around to face forward(which led to laughs and screams of glee), and a little taste of egg (not very much appreciated). Weaning is almost complete with only the morning feeding left to drop, so we are almost there! Anyway, we had a blast and a relaxing weekend. Can't wait to leave work and help him play with his new toys!!! Enjoy the photos of his big day!

Playgroup birthday boy...

So we had a playgroup yesterday to celebrate Kennon's upcoming birthday!!! Pretty much just playing and a little cake. This was Kennon's first time eating cake and icing and he was a big fan... Here are some pictures of my adorable boy!

Guy Harvey buddies...

Ansley, Carver and Kennon wanted a photo op to show off their Guy Harvey shirts together. Unfortunately Kennon spent most of the time trying to kiss or hug Ansley and she was scratched in the process! But the pictures turned out cute anyway!

Happy Fisherman...

So Kennon was really happy this morning even though he had me up at 5am!!! His sleep is definitely getting better, but we have had a rough couple of nights. I just keep telling myself that he will become a good sleeper some day! Anyway, he was so happy, I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of him in his new Guy Harvey shirt (gift from Grandbee and Granddad). And Kennon has added "hot" (ot) and "tree" (tee) to his repertoire.
